Paper Cuts
Paper Cuts is a love letter to the flora found in the changing light and climate of the forests within the Puget Sound region.
It is about the thing itself, removed.
Using cut paper impressions of the native plants of Cascadia, space is offered to consider the diminishing biodiversity and ubiquitous characters of the western Pacific Northwest forests through artificial silhouettes, light, shadow, and absence.

Paper Cuts is inspired by and crafted on the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples, the original stewards of the land, in Kenmore, Washington.
